The Peculiar Chronicles ~ First Week

The Peculiar Chronicles,

It’s simply been an amazing week. I’ve had lots of ‘eye openers’ and enlightenment these past few days. But first things first, I want to address something. I’m terrible at editing. It’s frustrating to me. I’ve never been really good with grammar and punctuation. Which is one of the things that are beneficial to you when you’re writing. But nonetheless, I’m not going to give up on it. I really appreciate everyone’s comments about it. It helps me learn and understand. If only a fairy would flutter by and dust some of her or his magical dust over my keyboard. Do you think that would help?  I can picture it now; the soft yellow (or whatever color) gently cascade over my hands and keyboard. Then all of sudden I feel this empowerment and knowledge -I start fiercely writing and editing! Only one can hope! I also really appreciate everyone’s support on this blog – the likes, comments and follows! It’s out of this world and I’m so grateful for that! Because honestly, I was terrified to post more than 140 characters of my writing online, other than twitter. I wasn’t sure why in the beginning. I still feel a bit anxious when posting something new. But as I keep reminding myself, write for you, this is you. Don’t let the nerves stop you. I never imagined that my writing blog would take off so quickly! Get ready for some self-doubt here; I never thought that people would want to read what I wrote. I do now, and I’m smiling from ear to ear because of it. As soon as I sit down and start to write, it feels right. I know that me writing, is right.

Till next Week!

  1. Keep it up! You’ll only get better by doing. You could do like I did: Talk a friend into doing your editing for you…

    1. Thank-you! That’s a great idea! 🙂

  2. I enjoyed reading your blog. As someone who is relatively new to the blogging world, with only a few bits of writing to go along with my silly photos, I can definitely relate to that tiny twinge of anxiety and self doubt.

    Keep writing.

    1. Thank-you! I’m relieved to know that I’m not the only one.

      p.s – your photos aren’t silly. 🙂

  3. The best thing you can do is practice! Keep at it, and you’ll get the hang of it. 🙂

  4. I’m trying to edit too at the moment. I hate it! I’m on struggle street trying to increase my word count.

    1. I know what you mean. Good Luck with your writing! 🙂
