Everyone sees winter as something terrible. It’s to cold, to wet and to dark. But I see winter as something beautiful. Not to cold, to wet or to dark.
I see it as rejuvenation.
I see the world healing and dancing. Yes, dancing.
I see the way the snowflakes dance through the air. Swirling down to the earth, kissing it with its cool winter lips.
I see winter preparing the land for spring, sealing off any past life with its raw, bitter hand.
I see how it carries its frozen breath over the old growth
Freezing it in time so the earth doesn’t look bare.
I see winter’s trade.
It’s teachings of numbing the past so something new can grow.
I see how winter is life.

I love your perspective on winter! Your ideas make winter much more tolerable. I have always enjoyed watching the snow fall and the shimmering glow it gives once it has accumulated across the ground.
Thank-you! You beautifully described that. 🙂
I like winter 🙂 The only thing I don’t like about it here in Australia is how short the days are.
Me to! It’s my favourite time of year. I can definitely relate to that. 🙂
You have changed my view of winter, I have always dreaded winter, thinking about it as healing and restoring makes me smile and at least try to embrace winter a little more tolerance. Thank you
No, thank-you! I’m glad to hear that! 🙂
