The Peculiar Chronicles,
My morning started at 4:30am with the electrifying screams of my alarm clock. Once I finally managed to roll over and touch my bare feet to the cool floor, I headed to my sister’s to watch her beloved puppy as she drove her beloved husband to the airport for his work. I brought some light reading, only to find myself curled up on her burgundy couch with a blue-eyed angel sleeping in my arms. We faced a large bay window that let the layers of the sunrise cascade onto us. And for the first time, regardless of how many times I thought it, I believed this; I believed that today is a shiny day. Such a shiny day that wherever the spot’s from yesterday lurked, they couldn’t. Because the sun was just so massively bright. The shadows of the lives past ceased to exist. I have hours ahead of me, giving me the opportunity to gather my actions and goals into a tight fist. So from their on I made a promise, a promise that I will not allow myself to stray from. Or alter. This month, I promised myself that I would get up early (maybe not 4:30am early, but early!) everyday and work on my novel, bit by every so small bit. I am going to finish the second draft of my novel by the end of this month.
I found the deadline from NaNoWriMo 2013 helped press me into a perseverance mood, and now I am going to revise and finish my novel for Camp NaNoWriMo 2014. I’m going to edit the life back into it, until it can walk on its own and feed it with new spices to evolve its overall flavour. I promise you and myself that regardless of how the winds blow me astray this month I will finish the second draft of my novel!
Till next time!
